The door way to Narnia in the Cotswolds

Luck was on our side for the August bank holiday! We took a trip to the beautiful Cotswolds and in particular Stow-on-the-Wold as we had read of it's beauty and picturesque town!

Yellow brick houses, beautiful statement front doors (I love an impressionable front door!) And foliage stretching over the brick buildings in this quaint town.

You'll find Antique stores stacked with hidden jewels and unique finds, pretty little cafes serving handmade scones and tea, bunting gently swaying along the roof tops and even the oldest inn in the UK.

My favourite thing was church doorway that looked like we were about to enter Narnia! It was so mythical and enchanting and one great photo opportunity to feel like I am in some mythical movie!

We stayed in a Victorian spa hotel called Bishopstow. The rooms had high ceilings and large windows letting pools of light into the rooms. The estate was alone with miles of green fields rolling out into the distance. The restaurant was great and the desserts are sinfully good...

They have an outdoor and indoor pool which was great for the heatwave we were having... a Spanish holiday sunbathing outside and an indoor pool to retreat when the sun was too much!

They also had spa facilities such as a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room leaving me nice and relaxed before sitting on some deck chairs watching the sun go down.

A perfect bank holiday adventure!
